Amber Wood Assisted Living Facility is a 31 bed memory care unit designed in a home-like environment. Our premises are fully secured and safe for your loved one to move about freely inside and out. We offer a tranquil setting in a quiet neighborhood. Our property has a large fenced in back yard with plenty of room available for gardening.
We have 17 bedrooms with attached baths that are available for semi-private or private rental.
Amber Wood strives to provide a high level of personalized care. We want to know about our residents. We do an extensive personal profile and life story using our "forget me not" care model. Our resident caregivers function as "houseparents" to our residents working with the residents daily to build relationships and provide a sense of security. All staff are trained to deal calmly with the special care of memory individuals.
Amber Wood offers the following services to our residents:
24 hour supervision
Weekly housekeeping
Activities Program
Scheduled Transportation
All utilities including cable (individual room telephones are extra)
Medication Supervision
Assistance with self administration of medications
Bathing and Dressing Assistance
Personal Laundry Service
Incontinent care, toileting & reminders
Assistance with Dining
Hospice and Respite care also available.
Most facilities will charge different rates for the level of care that is needed for a particular resident. As the needs change, so does the rates. Here at Amber Wood, there will never be a rate increase for the level of care provided.
Our amenities include wall to wall carpet in our bedrooms, walk in showers, safety equipment in all of our bathrooms, beautifully appointed common areas, restaurant style dining, televisions in all common areas, DVD and VCR's all for our residents enjoyment, a patio area and large fenced in backyard.
Amber Wood is pleased to announce that we accept the Medicaid divergence waiver. We are family owned and operated. The Administrator/Owner, Julianna Brower is also a Registered Nurse. You can feel comfortable knowing that a skilled eye is looking out for your loved one.
