Founded by a loving group of Jewish women, the first Hebrew Home opened it’s doors in 1954 as a not-for-profit 501 ( c ) ( 3 ).  The Founding group of women formed the first “Women’s Auxiliary” and worked diligently to provide housing for needy, medically frail elderly  Jewish individuals living on Miami Beach.  Originally named “The Bikur Cholim Jewish Convalescent Home of Miami Beach”, the name was subsequently changed to the Hebrew Home of South Beach.  For more information or to take a tour, please call 305-672-6464, ext. 202 or 203.
