Park of the Palms is...
A Christian retirement, and assisted living facility, on a smoke-free campus, located in the North Central Florida town of Keystone Heights. Located 23 miles from Gainesville and 45 miles from Jacksonville, the area is known for its many churches and sandy bottom lakes.
Our Mission:
... is to provide attractive and affordable living circumstances for adult Christians in a caring environment, centered around the Bible--the living Word of God.
Our Purpose is to:
. . . treat with dignity each individual resident who is entrusted to our care, because we believe that each person is created in the image of God;
. . . provide care, comfort and security for the elderly, in our community, because Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves;
. . . respond to the spiritual and emotional needs of each resident and staff member, because we believe that life continues after death, and forgiveness and salvation are offered to all through Christ Jesus.
. . . assist our residents to achieve personal and spiritual fulfillment in their final years through the attitude with which we serve, and the services we provide, because Jesus taught us to care for those in need.

Christian brethren who were interested in providing a Christian retirement community in North Central Florida founded Park of the Palms. It was incorporated and became Park of the Palms, Inc. in 1974. As a retirement community it began with modest independent living structures and through the years, with lots of hard work and the Lord's blessing, has been able to expand to the 24-acre campus of independent and assisted living facilities that it is today.
The founders envisioned a retirement, conference and spiritual retreat center and as such the Park has continued to provide annual Bible Conferences and special events to encourage Biblical studies and personal spiritual growth with the major emphasis being retirement services.
Important Features of the Park
Established in 1974 by a group of committed Christians, Park of the Palms has grown into a 22 acre campus of gracious living options including a well-stocked library, an Assisted Living Facility, shuffleboard court, putting greens and a heated pool. An on-campus wellness center is planned to be added in 2008. The 105+ residents can walk to Church or, when needed, can be picked up in the golf cart or on the few inclement days, in the Park's limousine. Annual conferences bring many visitors from across the States, Canada, and Great Britain
