“We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.â€
This is a simple promise that the staff at Summerville at St. Augustine – and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities – has shared since 2000, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful – a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our community for its active lifestyle.
Right at Home
Set on acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with majestic trees, courtyards and lovely gardens, Summerville at St. Augustine is considered one of the premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities in the Greater St. Augustine area. Located directly off US-1, our community offers 89 apartments on two floors. Here our residents – in many cases, with their pets – enjoy retirement living in a Georgia-style mansion. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. We’ve designed our services to focus on wellness, helping you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible.
Join Their Journey – Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia. Because your family’s experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We “join the journey†of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.
New friends, new beginnings
Our common areas – including our lovely dining room, lounges and ice cream parlor – give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including community outings to our local winery, state parks and historic sites. The nature trail at Summerville at St. Augustine leads to the Publix shopping center, restaurants, bookstores, banks, the post office and several other unique shops. To compliment our health services, Mayo Primary Care, Healing Arts Walk-In Clinic, Flagler Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility, should you ever need it, are nearby. With so much to offer, it’s not surprising that our residents – and staff – choose to live and work here for many years.
Ask about our Senior Day Care
If you are living on your own, you can also choose to spend the day with us. Our in-house senior day care offers health services tailored to your needs to help you maintain your independence. At the same time, you’ll meet new people and enjoy meaningful activities that enrich your life, including shopping outings, live entertainment, educational programs, games and much more. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
